SUP SCHOOL
SUP, an acronym for Stand Up Paddle, has become a very popular sport on the Italian coast in recent years and is definitely one of the strengths of the Kau Kau school. It can be practiced in flat or rough sea conditions.
-
How does it work ?
The school offers two different courses to approach this discipline: the first on flat water, and the second on waves. To approach the second course, it is essential to already know how to balance on the SUP.
The school also organizes SUP Tours, Stand Up Paddle excursions, along the coasts adjacent to the club.
SUP Flat
The first lesson in flat water will be used to find balance while standing on the board and learning to paddle with proper technique.
The goal will be to independently manage an excursion in total safety and fun.
SUP Wave
In rough sea conditions, the objective will instead be to learn how to move through small-sized waves, trying to surf the first foams standing on the board without creating danger for oneself and others.
SUP Tour
The rugged coastline adjacent to the Club stretches from Bocca di Magra to the Gulf of Poets. With its crystal-clear seabed, the area is a true paradise for SUP cruising-that is, for long paddles in calm seas in search of deserted beaches and coves.
-
When does it take place ?
Lessons last 2 hours: during the first hour you will be supervised by an instructor and in the second hour you will have the equipment to familiarize yourself with the SUP.
SUP Tours are conducted by the school throughout the year in favorable weather conditions. To find out when they are scheduled, you should contact the club office or follow the school on social media (@kaukauclub).
